We have an organizational flowchart at OmniLingua Worldwide, but the truth is we don’t pay much attention to it. Every person in our company is valued equally. Each one is committed to providing outstanding, high-quality translation and localization services. But the buck stops with the following people:
Owner & Chair: Mark Sellergren
Behind owner Mark Sellergren’s desk is a quote from Michelangelo: “Ancora Imparo” or “I am still learning.” It reflects his personal philosophy—and that of OmniLingua, which he purchased in 1994. His message to you: “We do what we promise. And we look at problems as opportunities for improvement. If there’s a problem, we’ll address it head on.”
Mark’s background:
- Received J.D., University of Oklahoma, 1971-1974
- Certified Public Accountant, State of Iowa, 1973-today
- Served in the U.S. Marine Corps, 1966-1969
Sales: Bob Caskey
Bob’s focus throughout his career has been on process improvement and the management of technical content. He feels particularly at home in the OmniLingua environment. “Without accurate data and appropriate application of theory, real improvement is very problematic. I constantly remind our business development managers that our job is to understand our clients’ business needs and processes. That is how we achieve alignment and success.”
Bob’s background:
- U.S. Army Security Agency Russian linguist assigned to Berlin, Germany
- B.A. Russian Language and Literature, University of Illinois
- Postgraduate work in Soviet Studies
- Customer Centric Sales Trainer
- Member Society for Automotive Engineers (SAE) and Society for Technical Communication (STC)
Operations: Tim Smith
Although technology continues to play an increasing role in the localization industry, Tim recognizes that it is the people at OmniLingua who make the difference. “At the speed of business today, you can have great tools and processes in place, but you still need people throughout your organization willing to go the extra mile in order to delight clients.”
Tim’s background:
Tim has spent his career working with content (both pre and post publishing) and has been with OmniLingua since 2004. In his time with OmniLingua, Tim has worked in varying roles within production and client/account Management. He was named Director of Operations in 2009.

The real value in technology is in its ability to aid people and organizations in realizing their goals. This is Kevin’s mantra as he leads the technology direction, platforms and development at Omnilingua Worldwide. This is the yardstick he measures all technological efforts against. This is how clients can rest assured they are getting a great value.
